The chrome goes on.

The chrome pieces for these cars are hard to find. If yours are in good shape then take special care when removing/installing them.

My wheelwell chrome was badly pitted and had to be replaced. Be prepared to spend about a hundred bucks apiece for them.

When initially dismantling your car make sure to keep every screw, clip, and chrome piece. Don't assume you will be able to get new ones.

This project took me 3 years to complete. Most of the work was done during the summer months and the car was stored during the winters.

Next was the rear bumper and filler panels.  Putting the front bumper on is actually a 2 person job but with a little ingenuity I did it myself.

Then I installed the front wheels. Next was the wheel trim and rocker panel chrome.

Finally a good washing. By this point the car had been painted over a year and had never been washed.
